NAMM 2021: From Mackie four new hybrid mixing consoles

Models Onyx8, Onyx12, Onyx16 and Onyx24 feature USB connectivity and high-headroom mic preamps

Mackie has revealed the next generation of Onyx mixing console lineup, that includes four models: Onyx8, Onyx12, Onyx16 and Onyx24. All the consoles provide USB connectivity for Pc/Mac systems. They can send 24bit/96kHz multitrack audio via USB and stream 2-stereo channel audio from DAW to mixing console. Furthermore, all the models are able to stream music directly into a channel via Bluetooth.

All input-channels feature ultra-low noise and high-headroom mic preamps with up to 60dB of gain, designed for maximum studio-quality. Each path-channel is loaded with a Perkins “British Style” EQ circuity, with midrage sweepable and bypass switch, that offers classic sounds of the 60’s and 70’s with modern performance and accuracy. Among other features: latency-free direct monitoring, direct-to-sd card recording, DSP processor with high-quality adjustable effects, a full-color display to control effects, presets and sd-card, and a software suite thath include Avid Pro Tools First + Mackie Musician Plug-in Collection, WaveForm OEM DAW and DAW Essentials Collection.
